Friday 4th July Launch Event Book Signing
Friday 4th July Launch Event Book Signing

I have never been a good blogger. My life, including my author life, has always been a bit all or nothing; everything is happening, or nothing is, and I like that. It gives me the high of activities I need to stay motivated, but the breaks that I need, even if I don't want to admit it.

It's been almost a month since my debut, 'The Lovers Arcana,' and I couldn't be more thrilled with how this month went. Not only did I achieve a dream of mine to release a novel, but the events and the sales have been better than I could have hoped for as an unknown in the industry!

The 4th of July launch event was overwhelming in its positivity. Over 20 people came alone to support the launch, and I sold out of books, which was unexpected to say the least, but more importantly, I think everyone had a good time and got to see/talk books, which was amazing!

Since then at the time of writing this I have sold 47 books, had a meeting with one local indie book store and am preparing for a book store signing with another whilst continuing to receive informal and formal feedback on my novel and it means the absolute world to me to get some nice comments and interest on what was just a passion project for me.

Now I have the struggle of continuing to market my book, which is a pain every indie author knows. I should start writing something new, well, actually finish something new. Starting isn't the problem. Mostly though, I need to work out what's next for me.

During this process, I have been lucky to see the support I have from friends, family and locals and be inspired by other creatives, so if nothing else comes from this book's release, I can say I have learnt how grateful I should be.

Thank everyone who has supported me in some way or another, because just WOW, I know people say it a lot but I couldn't do it without you!
